
Presentation of the novel "Epitaph for the Actor" by Ljubice Kubure
Roman „Epitaf za glumca” delves into the indomitable spirit of a man who refuses to be silenced, replaced and forgotten, even when faced with insurmountable obstacles. After the curtain falls on the actor's life, his daughter, who sees him as a role model, begins to write a novel about her father, striving to preserve his legacy from oblivion. O romanu će govoriti autorka Ljubica Kubura, književni kritičar dr Radoje Femić i književnik Miljan Mijušković, dok će moderatorka večeri biti Milica Bakrač. Through a discussion about the work, the audience will have the opportunity to become acquainted with the themes, characters and messages the novel carries, as well as with Ljubica Kubura's specific authorial sensibility. Ljubica Kubura was born in 1988 in Belgrade, where she lives and works today. She is the author of the short story collection „Beogradski akvarel” and the novel „Epitaf za glumca” (2023), as well as numerous award-winning short stories published in regional and domestic competitions. She is the screenwriter of the play „Čovek u crvenom odelu”, which premiered in 2012 at Pozorište Slavija. Her writing is characterized by strong introspection, irony and a distinctive approach to literature and life, and the author herself often emphasizes her affinity with the literary worlds of Chekhov and Dostoevsky.
